It depends on what you want them for. If it only to keep in touch with the kids on site, does it really matter that others hear you calling yours back for tea?

its not that its the constant voices or "ring tones" you get when using them as they only have 8 channels ,we plumped for 6 mile versions with the extra channels now they only make a noise (we use them at car boots) when we want them to.

we found the range in the cheap ones fell off very fast and even a small hill or group of trees made them not work ,of course the range is in "best" conditions (probably an airfield) when they write up the specs ,in real life even the more powerful imports fall short

The casing on these are identical to the ALDI ones.

We took ours camping too! Kids had a great time with them

We also took 2 cars and on way home had a good giggle with the OH who had one in the other car and also knew where each other were in the traffic if we lost site of each other, certainly made the journey more fun

Just had a look and they seem good, 3km is a good range! I don't know about the quality of that range but should be good.
