Good Evening All

Having just read through quite a lot of threads about fellow campers buying this and that , i was wondering what everyones best buy was and why, it doesn,t have  to be your cheapest buy

Here's a thread I posted a few days ago on my recent purchases:

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=6&TopicID=189193&PagePosition=3&showActive=8&ReturnPage=Active

Other good buys include:

SunnCamp Roller Mains Unit with 4 sockets

A Coleman 28L thermoelectric cool box that I bought a few years ago and is still going strong

Khyam Excelsior XL and Freelander tent

Aldi shader and kitchen

Aluminium tables (the type where the top rolls up)

Weber Go Anywhere Grill

Large travel towel that pack down to a small pouch

Inexpensive water carriers

Double blow up bed with pump

A proper work light to hang inside the tent

Good camping chair that is built to last more than one season - my Slouchair is 7yo and is still working fine

My trusted rectangular duck feather and down sleeping bag that I use as a duvet, bought many years ago and has yet to let me down

These are the ones I can think of so far, as they are the ones that I pack to go on camping trips nowadays.

Bought a portable Kingfisher single camping stove from the local co-op today for £4.88 ! It's virtually the same (only different in colour) as the Campingaz stove I bought last week for £12. It wasn't even on offer! Couldn't believe my luck.

I love my spork, handy to have lying about and I use it for almost everything. Its easy to lick clean and somehow makes me feel as if I'm really camping. It comes in loads of colours so if theres more than one person you know which one's yours.

hard to come up with one thing, we've definately had a few bad buys but also some excellent ones. We love our Coleman dual fuel cooker, our Intex beds our chairs etc etc but if I had to chose one it would be the Outwell Universal side canopy. It's been on the front AND side of our Sun Valley 8, we use it on the side of our Sunncamp Evolution and it can even be used on the front Nevada 3 we bought recently from GoOutdoors as an overnighter.. yes it's definitely Universal!   It makes a doorway more usable in the rain, gives you somewhere to sit and or cook.
There are so many threads that seem to ask about canopies .. will they fit etc.. and really it just a matter of application.. where there's a will there is definately a way.

We are still using Melamine tableware bought in Asda, Table and folding chairs, and camp kitchen all pre 1988.

They must be classed as "bestest Buys"

A Sunncamp 3 gang EHU from Go outdoors last year when they were on offer for £29.99. What an absolute bargain!
