Hi all

We're new to camping but are keen to get out in to the great outdoors as much as possible now we've been once!

We've got a lichfield, 6 man tent (arapaho dlx). We've used it once and realised it isn't big enough for us (we bought it pre-children, now we have 2 youngsters).

The resale value of these doesn't seem great so we'd like to extend if we can, rather than buying something bigger. so, does anyone know if you can get an extension for this tent? I'm thinking something to add on to the front that can be zipped up.

6 Berth for 4 people, I though they were a decent sized tent?

Shhhh we bought a Trooper 12 (sunncamp i think) for errr 3 of us

I would say the cost of getting bits added would be more expensive than buying a new tent.

If you can wait til the holiday rush is over you will get some bargains. Tents we saw last year for £150 are now well over £200.

Oooh thanks for the advice. Waiting was never a strong point of mine but if I can save I shall do my best ;)

It is big enough for us to sleep in for sure but not big enough for us to be in when the weather isn't so great really.

Maybe I'm just being picky?!

we have a  arapaho 9 dlx and we bought the vango extention which fits, you still get the gaps at the side but it has made camping in rain and wind so much better. We can still sit under cover when its raining and enjoy being outdoors.
