I bought a Khyam Shader this year, and discovered the manufacturer's advice against leaving it up overnight or when unattended, which I can appreciate why, as two pegging points of my Aldi shader got blown loose in high wind when I was away from the site. Luckily, no damage was done.

I am eyeing a Khyam 4-pole windbreak which comes with a canopy, which I believe will be ideal to serve 2 purposes:

I am concerned that it may not be advisible to leave it up all the time, and would appreciate the advice from the seasoned campers on here.

Looking at it in close up view on the Khyam site, I would probably drop the canopy by removing the poles before going out or to bed, peg it down so that it does not flap about too much. Or add extra guy ropes to the canopy poles to give them extra strength and leave it up all the time.

That's what I thought too, taking down the canopy section at night.

I managed to put it up without any issues, left the canopy section down when I do not need it and at night, and have added extra guys for added stability.

Two of the pegs used with my windbreak were screwy ground anchors for extra strength and stability.

I have bought 6 more screwy ground anchors and loads of Delta Pegs and guys for use with my future shader/tarp.

No, what were on the stand stayed out all the time, only the Cadac was taken in and out of the tent, and the knives too.

I came out one morning and found the mushrooms swimming in water after a night of heavy rain!
