Right. I had thought I had decided on a picnic bench style one with benches but then thought about the fact most tent fields are atleast slightly uneven so thought about one with adjustable legs. Simple? Well not really because this choice would leave me with the dilemma of the children not being tall enough to sit at the table at the correct height from just their little camping chairs!!

So, what should I do?!!17

Plastic suitcase ones are OK, but not very strong.  We are on number 3 in 7 years camping.  Keep a supply of 4mm nuts & screws with you & watch out for loose bits.  Ruined at least one chicken dinner with the thing collapsing.  Another reason we like them (apart from being really cheap, compact & light) is that they can be used as a low down table by not putting the chairs out, with the deckchairs for games, drinks or picnics.  We use it more like that than with the seats.

We have a table with adjustable legs and needed it on our last trip. Our solution was to buy a full size chair for our son, that way he can reach the table.

We have white melamine table with four separately adjustable legs - very sturdy and can make it the right height for what you are doing and adjust legs for uneven ground. The downside is it is one peice top and also quite heavy.

Have the fold out bench we are on number two and it is rickety – easy to knock stuff off, but it is compact and relatively light weight.

Hi any links to the tables that have height adjustment as well as adjustable feet?

Would like to go for one over a picnic table now I think but obviously one that the kids may be able to reach, unless anyone knows of adjustable feet on a folding picnic table?!!

I find this one the best for being sturdy and 4 adjustable legs - look after this and it will last you a lifetime - £48.99

Looks like that does have 2 different height levels, is this right? This looks good but is it big enough for 4or5 to eat at?

Edited to say:Just looked at our old 'blue argos picnic bench; and it even looks a bit bigger which would be fine! So am I right in thinking it can go as low as 60 in height? Anyone know if that would suffice for children to sit at okay?

Still cannot decide but I MUST make up my mind by tomorrow in order to have it delivered in time for our weekend away!!

Dilema is:Do I sacrifice adjustable legs for a picnic bench so the kids will defo be able to sit at the right height? Or go for adjustable legs and the kids perhap's not reaching the table properly(guess they would grow)!!

Did see one picnic bench with adjustable leg but unsure of whether it is too narrow in length for all their plates to fit on properly at the same time.

Here are a few I have looked at but feel free to add input as it's desperately needed17

the Accourdian table is 100 x 70 cms - so its perfect for 4

5 might be a squeeze unless one or two of them are kiddies !

Still the best product I have found

Have gone and done it- just ordered the Dukdalf Accordian, here's hoping it will last us well17

OH wanted to keep using our already broken blue Argos picnic table, so think I will just tell him this one was only a cheapo £20 thing the same as that Argos one17

Does anyone else 'bend the truth', or completely lie about purhcases??!!  Surely it can't jut be me?!!

good choice Sharlene

You will find that its a breeze to put up ( just one wing-nut )  setting the leg heights is fairly easy too - I would say you can put this table on just about ANY surface and get it totally level and dead strudy - but im not sure you can get away with the £20 spin ( lol )

did you order from JR leisure ?

Yeah I ordered it from JR Leisure, haven't ordered anything from them before so hopefully I shall receive before we go away17

I should get away with it, he hasn't a clue bless him-not unless another fellow camper were to come up and say anything! lol

Found out yesterday he'd bought himself a new golf club, then tried telling me it only cost £20!! YEAH RIGHT! I am not as gullible as him so of course know that is rubbish!! lol

Am so looking forward to eating at a decent table, especially when most campsites are on a slight slope or uneven ground.
