hi

im a total newbie to camping but we are going this weekend to somewhere around carnforth i think.

my question is would 150w power inverter run off my car ciggarette lighter blow up a double aerobed?

Should do, but an odd inverter doesn't like to run pumps (eg mine!)

Just see if the pump runs before you go.

We have a 150 watt inverter and a Aerobed. It works fine although I've only tested it in the driveway at home, not in a campsite in the pouring rain!

so should i buy an inverter or do site tend to let you use there electricity for free? at the moment thats the only thing we would need electric for.

The inverter is 150W, if the pump is less than that, then there's no problem.

We use the invertor on our airbeds and we have4 singles a double and the sofa and have had no problems,just make sure you leave the car running while inflating or you could have a flat battery!

We use a small compressor when we need to pump up the air
bed,which you plug into the cig socket of the car.
Its very small and compact and we always have it in the boot
of the car in case of a slow puncture,i think you can get
these from halfords.

Which Aero bed? If you get one of the Active range then you charge the pump up at home so don't need either electric or inverter.

The girls have the Aero bed overnighter singles and this comes with a pump that runs off 4xD batteries - you need lots and lots of them but no need for inverter or electric again.

it is an aerobed premier but i dont know what wattage it is. there is nothing on the actual pump.

this is it if anyone could advise.
