Oh gosh never bought direct from them always from a dealer. Then again Ive been trying to ring them all day and all I get is the answer phone and they havent answered my email either
Don't do it Julie, try ebay or something else their service is useless, I am going to demand a refund with intrest for the time they have held my money.
That really is bad news. Have you got legal cover on your house/car or through a union? If you have then i'd get in touch with them to see if they can help you get your money back. They can tell you how to word a letter to them and what actions you need to take. Shame there isn't someone from Bradcott reading this site. Is it worth mentioning this site when you contact them?
Not much comfort but at least you are warning others not to use Bradcott from your experience.
So sorry for you and i hope you get it sorted asap so that you can then go on and buy the awning you want
I have to agree about Bradcot being a poor company to deal with. I bought Bradcot coz I thought they were British and would have good instructions. Their instructions are an absolute joke, if you buy a Bradcot you will have to guess how to put it up. The easy alloy frame is foreign made and the only instructions are a tiny badly printed drawing. The tie down clips are cheap and chatty and the pads to caravn are poor quality. I have emailed them twice and they don't reply. I have a Starcamp awning also and the instructions are far superior plus their easy pad system for attaching to the caravan is far superior. I will never buy from Bradcot again, and be aware that they also trade as Salou Products based in Bradford. Don't touch them

I wouldn't buy anything from a Bradcott dealer or supplier or eBay either, until I knew what was going on
"Problems at the factory" could mean almost anything
We had a bradcot awning some years ago now and it was very good indeed. I heard that they are now 'only just a going concern'.
We bought our first caravan 5 years ago and did a lot of research before buying a full bradcot awning and annex. We'd camped for 20+ years in Cabanon covered Conway trailer tents and folding campers so had high expectations. The Bradcot was a great disapointment. When pitched it never looks quite right - OH is a perfectionist but we never had a problem with the Conways/cabanons. We fully understand the 'weathering' process but couldn't believe how long it took for our awning to become weather tight. I have lots of photos of water coming through the stitching before the threads swelled up enough to stop it. The curtains used to end up soaking wet. The tall annex was a disaster too - we had to use a tent inside it to avoid wet bedding. This summer it was better but I wouldn't buy another one.
