I have had this one     Intex Khaki Queen Airbed 2-in-1 - 66754

http://astore.amazon.co.uk/cheap_home_and_kitchans_accessories-21/detail/B000SO6V6A   for a few years now with no problems.

It is rather large which I like and double height - 2 beds zipped together. You may need to check your bedroom dimensions with a bed this size.   I like it because I camp for 4 or 5 weeks in the summer so I need a decent bed!  Its stays pumped up well and if I am on a weeks holiday it does not usually need toppin up at all on my longer hols it maybe needs a little top up with just a few pumps on the foot pump, although I do use a leccy pump upon arrival if the kids are on strike! LOL

When I use a blow up mattress, I have gone back to the old fashioned rubberised cotton type. All of my plastic ones, six in total, have punctured for no apparent reason. The old one I still use, is now about twenty three years old.

Not quite an airbed, more of a self inflating mat... but I love my fat airic... It's not much thinner than a standard air bed though, and is so so comfty...

Aerobed, really good quality with a rechargable pump and carry bag also made to last and best of all, really comfortable, more expensive is the only downside.

I have just gone back to the old fasioned rubberised ones, I have had those big blue ones and they just keep going down, we have a single blue\red one that we brought 20 years ago and its still going strong, so I ordered two of these the other day.

They have come and they have that rubber smell that someone said is a good sign lol, and they are slightly smaller both when inflated and when deflated, which is better for us.

Well I went to a car boot today   17   and I got a single and a double rubberised air bed in new condition  and a pump  as well. Bought them as a job lot including a brand new Argos tent for a total of £18  The tent retails at £68.49 so that's going on ebay. Probably start it at £18 ?

Is a self-inflating mat comfier than an airbed? We are new to camping and have airbeds but I have seen the mats and they look comfortable.
