Mine arrived this morning - now waiting for OH to have a day of so it can have a test run. I dare not even unpack it
He said to me - "your Cadac's arrived" but why it's mine I have no idea.
You will love it Keeley.
I am bringing mine to the Pillaton Meet.
We have cadac'd (this phrase just seems right!) since 2003. Over the last 2 years it has fallen out of favor due to the lack of non-stick after excessive washing. However, i am a little embarrassed to admit that we only used it for grilling. After some research it seems that that this is a much more versatile bit of kit. Now have the lid and roasting tin, so doing a rethink in out menu repertoire for France (02 Aug 09). Roast chicken is on the cards???? never again will i "diss" the mighty cadac.

We only use our Cadac when we are away but tend to use the griddle and skottle pan most. Dont understand what the issue is with cleaning as we only ever "rough" clean while in use ( we use a plastic pampered chef scraper) and then wet clean it when we pack away. Wont be without the Cadac.

Chickadee, we used our's without a lid for a good few years for grilling etc. but having the lid and roasting tin does open up a whole new menu option. We now take plenty of par baked roles for the morning and can do pretty much anything we could do in the oven at home (pizza, jkt pots etc.)
So in a nut shell not essential but worth the upgrade IMHO

After looking at lots of them We opted not to be Cadac'd. We bought a small gas BBQ for a fraction of the price. We personally didn't see the benefit of them when we have a gas cooker and an electric Remoska also.
