Hi - I wonder if anyone could recommend a good collapsable water holder please?
We have a Vango one and I don't know if it's bad luck or poor quality but it leaks through the tap/thread and floods us if I don't remember to turn it upright
I just want a decent (pref collapsable) water holder with tap, enough to provide regular drinks for a couple of kids.
TIA

every one i have ever tried leaks or is hard to pour.
best is a 5litre with handle mineral water (but don't use mineral water in the electric kettle) from the supermarket, throw it out before you go home, no transportation issues!

The fold-up & roll-up ones are very hard to fill a glass or a kettle from - it takes one person to hold it & turn the tap, and another person to hold the kettle or glass under the tap We use a 10 litre rigid water carrier with tap & have had no problems with it over the last three years. We sit ours on a small plastic step & just put the kettle on the floor below the tap to fill it.
It cost us £6.49 from Highbridge Caravans, but has been well worth it. It's the oblong shaped one which most camping shops sell. Easy to clean out too, just a drop of Milton & water to sterilize it after each trip.

i have one of those too, it takes an age to fill the kettle, you have to unscrew the lid a little to let the air in.

I use same as tazbabe, the 5 litre mineral water. Easy to obtain and nothing to store once home. I tried several types of collapsable container but all seemed to leak.

Great - I've just gone and bought one of those collapsible ones from Decathlon - I thought it looked really good and would be eaiser than.... yup, you guessed it, the 5L bottle we normally buy before we go

We had a cheapo concertina type when we had the tent , the only issue that we found was that it would roll if we filled it too full , didn't leak from the tap tho , think it was from the pound shop.

large mineral water bottle for us too. we did buy the collapsible plastic thing...but it never really collapsed properly..leaving us with an awkward shaped bit of plastic rubbish to find a space for...and it leaked...and is impossible to clean properly. worst bit of equipment we've bought.

We've got a couple of the folding 5l containers, we've never used the taps on them, we just unscrew the caps and pour from them. I couldn't justify the space for a solid container and I can't be bothered with having to remember to buy 5l water bottles when we get where we are going.
