Sorry, sorry, sorry - I know this has been done a million times over as I've read most of the previous posts. I'm still confused though!

Two of us are going camping for the first time ever this weekend.  I think the plan is to cook breakfast then eat lunch and dinner out (will have tins of beans for emergencies though).  I like the look of - and was set on - the http://www.campingaz.com/p-23657-camping-duo-plus-cv.aspx but not many places seem to stock it. Is this because it's not very good?  Would the camping chef be better?  I think I prefer the sound of the clip in gas canisters over hoses and regulators etc but have no idea if they really are better.  I would also like to cook bacon/eggs at the same time as making tea so two burners would be better.

Any help would be appreciated.

How about buying 2 suitcase stoves that run off the gas canisters? They are cheap, easy to use and very popular on here. We have one and it's great!!

There are lots of good two burner stoves out there.  Disposable cylinders are cheap in the short term, but don't hold much gas so you'll pay a high price for the convenience.  That said, you'll get 2 of them for £20, where a decent 2 ring stove would cost over £30 + cylinder + regulator.  It is down to how much you'll use it.  Over time the larger cylinders will pay for themselves, but you need to know you will get the use out of them.

Steve.

Thanks both.  I sometimes wish there wasn't as much choice!
