I really need a good nights sleep and just wanted to ask you all if it is better to sleep on an air mattess or camp bed.

There are two other options - closed cell foam mats and self-inflating mats. The former were, and still are, very uncomfortable but many find that the latter provide the best ground insulation, bed-feel and comfort of all the options. But you have to not mind sleeping almost level with the floor.

There's also the aerobed - a souped-up airbed.

Aero bed Raised comfort king on special offer at the mo at tesco.com 49.99 can highly recomend , just remember to insulate below and above as the air can get a bit cold

well we started with a tent and oh found the answer 15k caravan lol!!!!!!

Just what I was thinking... My blown air heating and comfortable seating gives me an excellent night's sleep!

Both...tall, wide camp bed and semi inflated air bed on the top.  Rolls mat and fleece blankets under and over.
