Great post vti2007

Would halfords be a good place to get the stuff from?

Need ta get it sorted asap as were off soon (he says praying for better weather)

Hiya, Glad it helped. You can get the stuff from halford by all means. Try to get glass cloth though, rather then chopped strand mat - you will know what I mean when you see it.  Cloth is much better to work with.

The alternative is to have a look for  a local glass fibre/composite supplier (yell.com/google etc) and get some cloth and polyester resin from them. You want Plain Weave glass cloth at about 120g weight - should be about £5 square meter off the roll. Resin should only be about a fiver as well. That is the road I would go down personally. You will get much better cloth from them. If your roofbox is black and you are feeling flush you could even get a bit of carbon cloth for a nice mathcing black finish!! - same procedure for carbon repair as glass.

If ou go that way pay attention to the heat warning - polyester resin left in quantity gets red hot and can very easily catch fire.  Put your pot somewhere safe!!
