Just had our first trial weekend inRutland, had a great time but slept very poorly mainly due to our airbed. We bought a standard depth double, and I woke countless times due to pain related to my bad back. I'm sure adouble/triple height air bed would help, but am boggled by the choice available, we are on a budget - any suggestions please?
I have an intex queen size double height airbed, bought for approx £35.00 i seem to remember, and have used it for several trips totalling approx 20 nights and its the dogs..do-da's ............ its beige with a flocked top and is easy to inflate with special 'bungs' to top up if necessary, although it hasnt been necessary at all....... I highly recommend it.

I second that - my wife reckons it's more comfy than our bed at home. However, I do find that it does deflate overnight a bit (which airbed doesn't?) but it's not excessive and only takes a few seconds to top it up before we next go to bed.
Have just recieved my aerobed kingsize comfor t£49.50 - had a quick try with the two kids this morning - feels great, can't wait to try it in August in Dorset!!
this seems like a good deal can anyone tell me if you can power it off both mains and car.
Thanks

We’ve just purchased one of these but found that the Aerobed Raised Comfort King Inflatable Mattress only comes with a mains powered inflection pump . You can buy a "109" rechargeable / 12v DC pump direct from Aerobed for £31 in P&P - 0208 735 0070.
The other alternative would be to get a 12v - 240v AC inverter and run it from your car that way.
Are these comfortable then? This seems like the answer to all my problems if they are good! We hve just come back frmo 3 glorious weeks, the only problem being the horrific sleeps in our standard air bed. We roll all over the place and feel in the mornign like I have been on a rollercoaster!
we bought a bestway double air bed from littlewoods[it was a bargain so we got 2 !!] and it goes with us whenever we have EHU,apart from the famous flash meet at elm cottage 2 years ago when we "borrowed" a strangers mains in a caravan then my wife and kids carried it across the field in a bit of a gale and somebody put it on Bebo! the only problem with it is it takes up most of one end of a gelert alaska 8 so you need a decent size tent to house it.
I have health problems and have in the past used the "intex raised bed" no real problems with it,defaltes slightly but not a major problem however i've since bought the aerobed and the air channels run side to side instead of down the length like most airbeds do making it more supportive and less roll when hubby is moving about,I was that impressed i ordered a second for the kids to use.
It inflates in 3 minutes fron mains electric with the adapter included in the price.
hope this helps and gl with comfy sleep while camping.
