ok let me see if anyone can understand this. (i cant!!)
i have an aerobed premier which has the pump built in but needs an electric supply to pump it up and i was going to buy a 12v power inverter to plug into my car to pump it up but i dont know if it will work
the aerobed website says:
How many amps does the pump need to operate?
Our main supply AeroBeds run off 0.5 amps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many volts does the pump need to operate?
Our main supply AeroBeds run off 230 volts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many watts does the pump need to operate?
The Aerobed uses 115 watts to operate
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the inverter i was looking at says:
It can convert DC 12V electricity source into AC 220V power. And it can be widely used in all kinds of electrical apparatus, which voltage rating are AC 220V and frequency are equal to 50Hz. such as mobile telephone, portable computer, electric light, digital camera, vidicon, TV, electric tool, CD player, DVD, fanner and so on. It is the best choice for your field survey, driving out outdoor office, or meeting an urgent need when power failure.
It can be made from advanced PWM CMOS chip, and can work in the state of ultrasonic sound, which can both in a great extent minish the bulk and weight and make the circuit work without noise. So it is small, light, quiet and convenient. It can protect the electric circuit in a great degree. For example, it can automatically switch off when the voltage of the car battery is low of 10V, so that your car can normally start. And the output of the product is a universal socket, which can be used in many countries. And the newly-added USB output socket can be directly used to charge for MP3 and mobile phone.
- Power rating:150VA
- MAX. power: 300VA
- Max. efficiency: >89%
- Input voltage: 12V
- Lower voltage stop: 10V +/- 0.5V
- Over voltage stop: 15V +/- 0.5V
- protect temperature: 50 degree C +/- 20%
- Output voltage: 220V +/- 10%
- Output frequency: 50Hz +/- 2Hz
- Output wave: corrected sine wave
- Volume (mm): 82 x 89 x 47
- Weight (Kg): 0.3
======================================================
please note the different voltage figures.
i hope someone can help who has experiences with this type of thing.
thanks for reading.
