Hi,is it safe to leave your equipment outside, like picnic table, chairs, etc when you go out for the day and i dont mean under a canopy but beside the tent, would i come back to find all my stuff pinched or moved by fellow campers!...LOL....thanks.
We always leave stuff out and never have had a problem.Any decent camper who is pitched nearby will keep an eye on your stuff(if they are onsite) while you are out.
Just make sure its on your pitch and not someone elses.

I do agree with above post, but we always put our stuff inside when we go out. I'm parenoid about stuff being stolen, and if walking from the tent put anything of value in the car boot when we are away.

I'd rather be kayaking.
Spent up, not pent up, just had my new tent up.
We put the chairs and foldaway tables inside to keep them dry, but leave out the cooker, gas etc. Never had a problem. If someone wanted to pinch your stuff its just as easy for them to get it out of the tent... infact they could spend time in the tent folding the chairs up etc. for a quick getaway so they wouldn't be spotted so easily.
We`ve camped for nearly 25 years and always leave stuff outside, except for expensive electrcal stuff of course. Never had anything taken or moved. The only slight problem is if it rains , things get wet of course.
Its the unspoken rule that you respect other peoples spaces and keep an eye on their stuff for them.
I never worry about stuff being nicked but as a courtesy to other campers I do move my stu ff close to the tent so that other campers have the space to play and move around the site without worrying about falling over all my equipment. Not an issue on sites that have clearly marked out pitches.

i doubt there are many people who are as audacious,to the point where they would walk up to someone elses tent in broad daylight, and walk off with a table or chair. The thing is,what would they do with them once stolen? they can't use them openly, and they would find them annoyingly conspicuous when they are trying to pack them away when leaving the site.
I personally would feel safe leaving tables, chairs etc outside, but not smaller items like cups, plates etc.they can easily be nabbed by a mischiefous child.

My Tents:
Eureka K2 XT
Terra Nova Solar 2
Outwell Jersey S Pop Up Tent
Hennessy Hammock Explorer Deluxe.
Never had anything stolen or damaged and hopefully it will stay that way.
If it is windy then it is a good idea to fold the chairs and put anything small away so it isnt blown away but dont worry, we all look out for each other ;)
Agree with all of that... the worst we have had happen is where unruly kids muck about with things you have left out. Let's face it, even in a tent things would not be safe to a determined thief (just like if you have a soft-top car)... it is just that campers tend to be like-minded individuals.
One word of warning... unruly groups of campers who defy the no-rallies rule by booking individually and congregating once on-site can be a nuisance. Not so much the problem of things going missing, but more about letting their kids kick balls around neighbouring tents/equipment and cars. The last site we went to I heard one dad saying, "...don't kick that ****ing ball near us, go and bother people you don't know and hit their bl**dy cars!!"... wonderful parenting skills!

left my broken chair out side but no luck no one took it!!!!!
Should have stuck a price on it to make it look valuable!
I leave my kitchen stand out with food, chopping boards etc. with no issues.
I also leave my BBQ outside with no reported issues.
I do take my Cadac Safari Chef HP inside though, as that is quite nickable IMHO.
