Hi, I recently bought an Outwell minnesota 6 from a reputable large campsite warehouse, paying the latest model price, and presuming it would be the latest model. I found a "enter our comp" slip in the package with a closure date of September 2008. i don't know if there are any newer models than 2007/08 and not sure if I have any rights to demand that what I bought was actually the latest. In any case, there is also what looks to my untrained eye as a "patch" in the middle of the bottom of the groundsheet. Again, I am a camping novice, so I don't know if this is pretty normal or not for groundsheets to be made up rather than all in one weave.
We are delighted with our new tent, don't get me wrong, we were happy, give or take a few niggles given the awful weather, with it's performance, but having read various reviews and whatnot before buying, just wanted to have the latest version at point of sale.
I have a feeling, not least because we were clearly unseasoned campers when buying, that the sellers will say that as we did not state clearly that we wanted the latest model of the tent we were buying that we have nothing to quibble about, but i just wanted to check what the feeling is here, and if there is any group knowledge as to which year our model of Minnesota 6 actually is.
