I see loads of people use these as opposed to the cheaper air beds, is there much difference in comfort and why, one of our old airbeds has an inbuilt inflator but goes down slowly so im looking to improve and i find my legs and hips ache when sleeping on a cheap air bed would a aerobed help? can the double height ones be used on a campsite without EHU.
I have looked at most of the other threads, and their own website but still dont understand why they are supposed to be so good, arent all airbeds pocketed (or whatever they call it)
We`ve had one for the first time this year. I would say it is more comfortable than my bed! And yes they do inflate/deflate very quickly......expensive but worth every penny.
just got my 1/2 price kingsize double height aerobed from tesco direct today, inflated it in the lounge and me and DD had a nice lie down on it, lovely and comfy. Couldnt belive how quick it inflated/deflated too. It goes back into its bag easily and dosent take any more room than my self inflating mats/ Coleman airbed. I love it.

i've been reading tips and hints for the past month on here and now own a tent and just a few accessories (getting there).
On the aerobed i have back and pelvic problems i ordered the aerobed from Tesco(courtesy of tip on here). the air pockets run side to side instead of down the length so seem to give a little more support been used 4 nights in total and i think its great have even ordered a 2nd for the kids.

Hiya to all,

Just tested our 'tesco special' too!! Seems lovely- and huge! Tho its not reall much bigger than an ordinary one, Love the pump system too- seems very well thought out and made.
Just got to join in and agree how amazing the Aerobed comfort from Tesco Direct is. We are going away for three weeks on Tuesday to Spain and wanted something that would be more comfortable than our regular airbed. So after reading on here about Aerobeds took the plunge and got the great halfprice deal from Tesco.
We slept on it last night as a trial before we go and it was so comfortable, hardly any movement when one of you rolls over so you are not waking up every time your partner moves.
Can't wait to get on holiday and use it properly.
One word of warning it is a big bed and if your tent has sloping walls they may impede on the sleeping area as the bed is quite high. We are going to unzip our two rooms into one so that there is plenty of room around it.
Just taken delivery of the Aerobed Comfort after reading this thread the day before yesterday - it's fantastic!
Can't wait to try it on Saturday at West Fleet, Dorset. It feels a quality bit of kit. It's still being advertised on the Aerobed website "half-price" at £79.99. Bargain at £49.50 with Tesco.
