We're off on our first camping trip on Saturday and wondering what we should pack in the roof box.. Any tips please?

We have quite a large roof box and we tend to use it for all the bits that we don't use whilst travelling like the Satellite Dish and tripod, rotary airer and stand, mats, bits of awning, groundsheet.

We are off at weekend and using our roof box for first time, think hubby is planning on putting airbeds,sleeping bags, blankets, pillows etc in ours, basically anything bulky but not too weightly, didn't have one last time we went and the poor kids could barely breath in the back!!!!!

Mine's new, so still experimenting.

But the idea is to put either stuff that's fairly light but bulky, or a bit messy up there:

chairs, table, water carrier, washing up stuff, pots/pans etc.

Same here ! We normally pack in the items that are lightweight so all the Sleeping bags , Holdalls with clothes, coats and shoes and also any fleece blankets I want to take..

Like most others we put

chairs

inflating mats

sleeping bags

clothes

carpets

picnic blankets

wash bag

first aid kit

crocs

sandals

pillows

anything else that is small and can be crammed into a gap

just remembered that going we also have the utility tent up there, it is in the boot coming home
