I have a 13 pin electrics socket on the towcar for my Bailey to connect to.
I have a strong suspicion that the leisure battery is not charging while driving for 2 reasons:
1. The company that fitted the towbar and electrics said it wouldn't!
2. The battery state indicator on the 12V panel shows quite low (12V insteed of about 13V when on site with electric hook up attached for a few days) when I put the van in storage after a long drive back when it should have been charging.
I queried the statement about the battery not charging at the time I had the towbar fitted and was told only the 12N and 12S arrangement could charge the battery. I thought this was rubbish and upon investigation, it does seem to be, yet the battery does not *seem* to be charging.
I checked all of the terminals in the plug with a multimeter and there appears to be voltage on the appropriate connectors?
Any suggestions as to what could be wrong and how to confirm the charging (or lack of(?
Thanks
