Good point made by Andy. I believe most retailers won't (shouldn't) sell you gas hose longer than 1m in length, which could pose a problem when you're trying to get the Cadac away from the van & awning.
Mine is on a 2m hose connected directly to the van's external gas poin but will still spit fat onto the awning sometimes - maybe careful positioning of a windbreak or similar would fix this issue....
