Hi everyone, this is my first post. I am after some advice regarding the BP Gaslight propane bottles, as I have never come across them before (novice camper). Anyway, we have been offered a Campingaz chef stove, easy camp avignon kitchen and a two thirds full bottle of propane gas. these are all in good condition. My only concern is the gaslight bottle and its availability, and also is it ok to operate these stoves on propane. The price by the way is £75 for the lot. Any help would be very much appreciated.Thanks.

I run the same stove on Propane with no problems. As far as availability I got my Gaslight from Homebase as they seem to be the main agents, some caravan dealers sell them as well. I don't use mine in the caravan but for the garden BBQ.

We use the Gaslight bottle with the campingaz stove & it runs fine has done three weeks camping cooking for two familys so far this summer & still has loads in it.

I think the 10kg bottles were held by more places but now that Homebase do the 5kg they are not to bad to get hold of. you should also be able to get them from BP petrol stations. I've also spotted them at some caravaning shops

There won't be any problems using propane with the stove.
As above, Homebase are the main stockists for the cylinders.

I paid £26.99 for a 10kg cylinder a couple of days ago.
The 5kg cylinders were £10 cheaper at £16.99.
