Hi everybody,Hope someone can help.

We have just bought a secondhand Trio awning for our first caravan and have figured out how to put it up without any instructions but we had two poles leftover!

Each of the poles have a clamp type mechanism on each end with rubbers on the inside of each clamp and some awning material that covers the outside of the clamp as if to stop it rubbing on something? Also in one of the poles there is a smaller pole that slides in and out and can be clamped into position.

I hope my description is uderstanable,Thanks in advance.

Are they 'Veranda bars' that you can clamp horizontally at a suitable height between the upright poles at the front?

I think it give a bit more rigidity, but also allows you to fold down the top-half of the zip-out section to give the 'half-open stable door' effect.

Your question answered exactly the problem we found this week-end.We have just bought a Trio awning,and after a long and boozy afternoon working it out without a book,we ALSO had two poles left.The same as yours,but we gave up wondering what they did.

We are recycled teenagers,coming back to caravanning,and are amazed how things have changed.By the way,I think the 'Pink stuff' is manner from heaven.
