I am thinking about having a mover fitted and have reduced my list down to the Powrtouch 3 or the Rhino Charger both exacty the same price. I wondered if anyone has any comments about them particularly the Rhino, I can find plenty of information about pawretouch but little about Rhino.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
I have a powertouch and have been very pleased with it, including aftersales service - my remote controller 'died', rang up and got a replacement very next day!
There are also some folk on here who have the Rhino; I've never seen any complaints from them either - the only point is that (I believe) you can not get a cross-actuation bar for the Rhino, so if you store your van in a restricted space and cannot get to both sides of the van (like me), one roller can't be engaged (or disengaged)..... Check this point if it applies; otherwise it's probably just a matter of choice...

I had a Rhyno charger fitted to my Pennine Pullman and now we've got an Elddis Avante I've had one fitted to that. Best thing we could have done. Good product, good price and a nice job in the fitting. One word of warning, if you ring them the boss of the company can come over a little 'cold' but when you chat to him he is actually very pleasant and his fitting staff are brilliant. I would definitely reccomend the Rhyno every time.
powrtch for me we love ours we now have twin wheeler and although we can drop off in storage we like to put it in the building so we now drop me off at work and oh takes it to storage and puts it away herself great we did have i little problem but again there after sales amazing new missing part arrived next day
I have lots of good things about Powrtouch, but this si the first time I have come across Rhino. The two are the same price as Powrtouch will pricematch to the Rhino the only difference I can find is that the Rhino has a lifetime warranty.

Hi. I have a rhyno fitted to a pullman. It is the best thing I have done as it is a doddle to use and never had a problem with it. When I was looking round I phoned powertouch to pricematch but they would only pticematch their light unit against the charger. They insisted it was the same but their light unit is rated to move 1300Kgs but the charger at 2100Kgs. They would not move on that so I got the charger fitted and have no regrets. Barry
I had never come across the Rhino before I enquired at Powrtouch for a price match on an Enduro, but when I told them the weight of the van they wanted to supply a heavy duty model which they would not price match with the Enduro, the womans parting shot was that they would price match the Heavy duty model against the Charger.

Thank you for all your help, I ordered a Rhyno Charger this morning to be delivered and fitted in 10 days.

My Rhyno was fitted last Thursday and my first impressions are positive. The fitter arrived at about 9.30 had a look at the van, decided that with the shock absorber fitted as it was that the mover would be better fitted behind the wheel, then he got stuck in and the job was complete by 11.15. He demonstrated the mover, made sure that it would do the job and then took payment for the move. Interestingly Rhyno do not accept cards they want payment either by cheque or in cash. The job is extremely neat and tidy, and compared to the Powrtouch it is very inobtrusive, the unit is fitted quite high up by the chassis and only comes about 10cm lower than the bottom of the chassis. The only problem that I have with it is that my wheel clamp will only fit one way around and that is the opposite way from the way it had been fitted. The clamp has two hooks that go around the wheel on one side of the clamp and another on a long bar that comes across the wheel and through the fitting plate to form a sort of Y across the wheel, I have always fitted it so that the foot of the Y goes to the front now it has to fit at the back by the side of the mover.
