Us older ones will remember the kettles with a coil around the base to conduct heat more efficiently & boil quicker, Im looking for one but the prices are a joke, does anyone have any ideas where to get one without a bankloan please.
I don't know where to get said kettle...sorry...but i was thinking the other day (yes i did hurt) why hasn't anyone designed an energy saving ring for camping stoves/cookers, You can get them for household cookers.
Are you on about the one with the copper all the way round the edge or spiraled in? Tell you something i got a dented one from a local camp shop, cheep, and its burnt off black bits ever since.
Im not sure what the black stuff is. Iv used the kettle in the house and camping and its still like it after 18 months. At first i thought it was whatever they had laqured the kettle with, like chrome dip, but it still happens.Think kettle was £8 from Towsure.Had a dent in it.
I have one of those coil base chromed kettles, very good too, very quick compared with a standard kettle.Stupidly let it boil dry,and it has partially lifted the internal plating..tin? and exposed the copper... not good for the health with copper salts...Anyone know where Icould get it re plated internally?... john
