Just bought the heater for next year's EHU with collection from local store so no delivery charge. An excuse to browse as well !

I know the Argos type are cheaper but for this one it's a good price and I like the safety switch underneath in case it gets kbnocked over in use.

Has anyone used one all night ? I'm wondering how noisy they are left on low all night.

Just need EHU now 17

 we have a one from asda blows both hot/cold so it great for chilly mornings and night and the cold setting great for those really hot day we have in england 17 we have left it on all night on the lowest setting and it really quite you cant hear it outside the tent

Hi Mike, I've got the fan heater M, and it's fairly quiet if you leave it on all night. No worse than an electric coolbox. I don't have a timer or anything to kick it in early in the morning, so just leave it on all night on setting 1, and with the thermostat set between 1/4 and a 1/2. It's just enough to take the edge off, and it only takes a second to switch it to full for a quick blast if needed.

Mine was delivered today. (well done Yeomans, ordered yesterday morning, delivered this morning, excellent service) Tried it out in the house and does seem a little noisy but I suppose it's no worse than our old fan heater. As previously said the cut out button underneath is extra piece of mind, we'll be trying out overnight when we're away at easter.

The Tesco Value one is £11.99 and that has a tip-over cut off switch. Mind you, its a higher wattage rating but has several settings.

Regarding noise, we've used our fan heater all night and didn't notice the hum at all.

Very pleased with the Outwell heater that arrived today - especially at the bargain price. Also ordered the Merope light - again very pleased.
