Ok hubby and I have worked out that we are hating our mummy style sleeping bags zipped together purely from a wriggle room perspective. We have vango wilderness ones I think and when it's warm enough we prefer to ditch them altogether and just take the duvet off our bed at home. however we do like to extend our camping season into oct and starting again at Easter. Would like to get a decent double bag- any recommendations?

Thanks linny.

Hi you might want to have a look at the Camping accessories website . There's quite a few to choose from there.

Hi, I had this problem the other week.  Someone suggested the Outwell Camper Lux bags, they are wonderful!!!

They have a hood on, but this can be unzipped, are square at the bottom and can be zipped together.

We used ours last weekend and I was so warm it surprised me as I am normally frozen.  I can recommend them, slightly expensive, but I thought well worth it.

The Coleman Hudson is good, we use one after ditching the mummy bags which I could not get into. The length is about 235cm so I fit length ways into it without shoulders out in the open. It has a small hood like a mummy bag, costs around £40, stuffs into smallish bag, is very warm (our season ended last weekend and plenty warm then). Also it has the feel of cotton not polysester which feels more comfortable.
I think it is suitable for autumn but not sure about winter but I know it's been fine for us April-September.

Well Linny

There are loads from camping shops, but we found this one from  Argos of all places last year. It's very big which we love. I'm on the larger side so this gives us plenty of room. We love it so much we have just bought another for our eldest daughter. They are warm and very cosy. Forget all that mummy bag stuff. Have a look at these

Good luck

Craig
