Had an apologetic email from the seller on ebay saying that they'd actually solf out of Hi Gear groundsheet i ordered and it had been relisted in error so i've found i've now ordered the the Nature Bound 2m x 2m groundsheet-£5 cheaper, a better size and less postage to pay! I love a bargain!

Well the groundsheet is here, now all i need is the tent. Looks good to a complete beginner like me. Gives me an idea if the ground living area of the tent, should be planty of room for me (and the OH too if i can seel the idea.....which im failing to do at present lol).

No, but spent the thick end of £50 on a breathable foam type groundsheet this Summer as the campsite "insisted" on them. Rubbish. Mud in, water in. Dead grass underneath from all those before us without one. Will stick to PVC unless we are forced not to in future.

Steve.
We have never had a problem with our easy tread. We have had just a little dampness on a couple of occasions when it has bee bad, but otherthan that, nothing. Also, when you fetch it up, you do not fetch mud etc up with it. Our always comes up virtually clean.
We've got the same but as yet, we have only used it over the top of a plastic tarp and it has made for a lovely carpet. The time will come I guess when the plastic will be verboten and then we'll find out for real.
