looking at these double beds for myself and my wife, as we find it impossible to get a good nights sleep when camping,
there seems to be two to choose from the Explorer and the active? (aerobed) money really dose not matter as long as it is well spent, any advise please?
from Darren and Sheryl.
We have the double active explorer - it has the detachable rechargeable pump so no need to have ehu for it. We have been using it every camp this year and cannot fault it.It never 'goes down' even if camping for a full week.
I've shared one with my wife before and I'm not a fan of sharing air beds because it bothered me every time by wife moves. Every time she moves I do too.
I'd go for the classic premier though. I have to warn you that these air beds are not very durable. At least not in my experience.
We have a couple of the active double aerobeds. Great things. We got ours from argos, there wasn't much in price from others. All the internet shops had P&P ontop, pushes the price up. Reserved in our local argos and picked up-simple!
They blow up fast and deflate fast-simple.
They are not cheap, but I got fed up of buying cheap crappy ones. Buy cheap buy twice as they say.
Yes I agree with daddyalfa I also did a search on the net but found it cheaper in Argos as there was no postage, it is the single but a lot wider than most others on the market, the active inflates very quickly and is very comfortable I have not tried it overnight yet but hope to on Sat next week.

I've got a single and a double Aerobed Active. Been using the double regularly for 18 months and just got a hole in it this last weekend but other than that it's been excellent.
We're now debating a straight replacement vs. camp beds.
