has anyone got used one of these,if so how cold does it go down to, how long does it take to get to set temp, the reason i ask is im having problems with my ( new one) i have contacted the supplier who are not sure if it has a problem, i have contacted kampa who were very helpfull but its still not cooling below+4c,so just before i send it back i would just like someone to confirm im not going mad as i have tried everything and it still doesnt do what it should
Theres a topic that discuss it http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=6&TopicID=199937&SearchPagePosition=1&search=kampa+26&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Topic&forum=6&searchSort=dateDESC&ReturnPage=Search
Anyhow, my 36L goes 32/35ēc bellow ambient ( althouth taking lots of time) so a smaller box should at least make this values.
My first 36 unit also didn´t made more then 26ēc but kampa replaced it for another unit that could cool a bit more.
With this units you should be carefull not to put inside warm food ( or even ambient temperature) because is going to take a lot more time to go to the set temperature.
When you say only +4ēC, at what ambient temp are you getting that and after how much time?
ambient of 18+ but i can leave the box on for hours or all night and it still wont go below 4+, i have given in trying now and sent it back to kampa who were very good when i spoke to them they are going to check it out for me,
well its taken this long but i have got the box back, i tried it yesterday and from an ambient temp of 19 it went down to minus 7 in two hours after which time i turned it off but it may have gone lower if i had left it on, so after a long wait and many phone calls i can recommend the cooler and kampa to anyone looking for a good cool box
