hi looking for a rechargeable lantern that is bright enough to read/ play board games etc with in a large family tent we have the aztec palacio 6 we got the one from homebase that was on offer but whilst it is fine for seeing kids to bed not tripping on way to loo it not much good for reading etc. Was looking at the camping one for sale on here and also looked at a few in shops but don`t know if they will be bright enough. Dont want gas with kids if anyone can reasure me i would be well chuffed

Hi Suebea,

We've bought the rechargeable lantern from halfords which is really bright. I think we paid £25 for it, and we use it for playing board games/cards/reading and it's great. Plus it's got a remote control and you can hang it up in the tent (you get a hook with it)....but watch yer 'ead as I found out on several occasions!

Also, the nightsearcher lantern seems to be a popular choice on here. I think there's been a thread recently about it.

You can buy the nightsearcher via UKCS with a discount, I have one and it sounds like what you need!

We Can recomend this one by ROYAL.     2 x 7W tubes, switched either 1 on or 2 on and LED night light for the Kids! 4Ah lead/acid battery, mains and car chargers. We were VERY impressed by the quality of construction compared with some we have seen. Cost about £24-£25.

I can reccomend the green one sold on UKCS.  Really bright for reading/playing.
