Hi,
been a long time since I posted here!
We are looking to get a "small" microwave oven for next season as we are not very happy with the small convection ovens that Aldi, Argos, lidle et al sell.
Ideally it needs to be compact and use less than 2000W (input) power. A combination microwave/grill would be nice!
Any recommendations?
Regards as always
Frank
I`ve searched a lot to find the smallest one with grill and at least 800w. The one i´ve choosen its from the media market brand - technostar ( don`t know if media market exist in UK...)
20 liter
43 x 33x 25,5 cms
850 watt
grill
56 euro
I`m using it on my camper conected to a 1700Watt inverter and a 74 Ah battery - works very very well.
We just bought a 17L Cookworks Microwave & Grill from Argos half price at £45.
But for camping I'd go for a combination Conventional / Microwave / Grill. It might be a couple of inches bigger and slightly heavier but having the conventional oven would give you twice the usage.
If you look on Amazon and Argos you'll be spoiled for choice.
------------- Definately a fair weather camper. I don't like rain. Rain + Tent = Trouble.

Astronaut,
Thanks for the info.
We have looked at Argos and looks like that's where we shall end up going.
Yes, we like the idea of a combination oven/microwave/grill. that is what we want.
We were just thinking about the sizes, space is at a premium because we always take everything including the kitchen sink! so compact as possible is the ideal.
Thanks for your input.
