Hi all 17

Gotta question on carpets, I know theres been loads of questions already answered but I cant find mine anywhere. Gotta chance of a bargain outwell nevada m and carpet. My problem is I havn't seen any carpets in the shops and to be honest I havn't really been looking at them before, its just this package deal.

My question is, we are packed to the rafters when we go away, so how much room will a carpet for this tent take up...I have no idea of packing dimensions, I supose I'm thinking we will have to tie a roll of carpet to the top of our roofbox!!

Anyone have one and can advise?

Thanks x

Most fold up into a square, my box is a similar size to double airbed boxes, hope this helps...

About 18" square & 2 to 3ins thick, get the deal, you could always flog it but once used you will probably leave one of the kids behind to fit it in.

Yes, our carpet bag and double airbed bag are about the same size. If you're really struggling for space, you could loosely fold the carpet into a square or rectangle and lay it flat (ish) on top of other stuff ? I wouldn't put anything heavy on it as it might then crease and not unfold right in the tent.

We have a large carpet and we lie it across the bottom of the boot flat before we pack it......it  doesn`t impinge on the boot at all really

pack it in somewhere wouldn't leave home without it. It folds pretty flat how about putting it in the passenger footwell and put your feet on it or under the kids feet.

I've got the carpet for my Outwell Oregon 5 and also for my Outwell Nevada 3 and in both cases I roll the carpet tightly around the tent before it goes in the bag and it fits fine - I also get the footprint in there too - once you've used a tent carpet you'll never look back!

hey all thansk for the replys......opted for tent only as we got it price matched + an extra 10% so outwell nevada m for £171 BARGAIN 17 would be nice to have carpet as well but we've always managed with picnic blankets fine and tarps for under. Just got to keep eyes open for bargain front canopy now as well!
