....hey...Cobby experiment.....fab fab fab.....the 'cobblestones' from Home Bargains £1.99 for 5 seem to work fine ...ignited at a touch of a lighter and were ready to cook in only a few minutes...still plenty of heat after 2+hours..
i cooked gammon hock(as it was the only meat i had in the fridge) with 2x jacket pots next to meat(lovely and crispy skin) and a further jacket wrapped in foil next to the cobblestone, and some new pots and carrots in the moat...
trouble is i now have all this food and no-one to eat it..lol...
i used it in the well ventilated outside in back porch area but it set off my carbon monoxide alarm two rooms and 3 closed doors away...crikey...either it gives off a LOT of fumes or my detector is super sensitive(it has never gone off before)
edit...it's now 3 hours and its still cooking (even though i have been peeking regularly) it's still very hot
