has any one ordered any goods of this company based in powys wales, i ordered and paid for a gelert horizon canopy on monday 4-1-10 and have heard nothing, understand with the weather being what it is delivery could take abit longer, when in the past i've ordered item's from companys have always received email back confirming order, have not had any email back from family camping supplies and when i rung them today got answer machine even though web site says they should be open today, just would like to know if company any good or should i be asking for my money back.

I used this company for our Coleman airbeds earlier last year...
I was also quite suprised that they don't Email to confirm the order or tell you that it has been dispatched!!!
I did however recieve the goods pretty quickly if I remember rightly with a proper invoice etc in the package....
I suppose it is worrying when you don't hear anything as I must admit I was a bit dubious when I didn't recieve any correspondence from them... Lets hope it's just the weather causing the delay.....
I found there to be good prices on that site and BTW the store does exist as we have driven past it LOL

What did the answer machine say yaz?Give them a ring in the morning.They may have had a valid reason why they were'nt open today with the weather and all.If there's still no answer tomorrow i'd give trading standards a call just to see if they have had any complaints about them.Hope everything goes ok for you.

I used them last year (for £180 worth of goods), no communication but everything arrived fine. I guess this keeps costs down - they were certainly the cheapest I could find for what I wanted. I did wonder how much a quick despatch e-mail would cost - on the other hand I think all the e-mails from the big companies are automated and come as part of expensive e-commerce packages.

I have also put an order in with them due to the offers on their site it didnt appear to go through although i have received a confirmation email from them. I emailed them back explaining the difficulty i had but have not had a reply. Also came across Wayfarers which appears which they trade as... "The Camping Shop is the online presence of M Y Leisure Ltd t/a Wayfarers".

I havent used this particular company before but I know there are massive delays on post at the moment from christmas, the bad weather and the new year bank holidays etc .. I ordered a dvd box set from play.com and that was dispatched on the 2nd and Im still waiting for that

i havent used these but ordered goods from riversway leisure on 1st jan and they came yesyerday so theres still time.does it mention how long delivery is likely to be on their site ie between 3-5 days ect ?
