Hmmm, I personally would not bring too many valuable items with me when I go camping. Things that need to be locked away, I would lock them in the car and out of sight.
Besides, I don't have room for a box taking up so much valuable space in the car or roof box!

Any device that will slow the pondlife down from taking your stuff is worth buying in my view, although as posted above,we never bring lots of valuables on holiday with us either.

..I always find it funny when folk say that they don't take any "valuables" away with 'em!? (..just their wallets/credit cards/car keys(inc' a spare in our case!)passport/digital camera/mobile phones etc )
For securing larger stuff,chairs/tables* etc,I use one of the cork screw dog tethers, screwed as far in the ground as possible and then use a long cable lock threaded through it.(I needed to weld closed the join in the top loop).
*Admittedly not "valuables"..but it would still p**s you off if someone just helped themselves...!
Got it today. It has 2 holes in the botom which i will bolt to the floor in one of the bed boxes, looks realy strong. so will be a somewhere safe to leave things when out of the van
