prozac I notice you have same outfit as us we've only put ours up twice and found it a little difficult does it get easier and any tips Sorry to drift away from original thread

Can I charge my mobile phone, and the camera batteries on this sort of thing? And run some sort of light from it? My sis is going to pick one up for me, and I just wanted to check.
You should be able to run anything that runs off 12v from it, though a fridge would kill it pretty quickly. I've run a pump (pumped up and deflated 4x double airbeds) and a strip light for a weekend with no problems.
As for putting up the tent dave, we don't really struggle, we've tried feeding the poles through flat then hooking the ends but I think that is harder than feeding and hooking an end pole then loosely pegging it then doing the other end (you can pull the tent into shape out 'cos of the pegs) then doing the middle pole. Loosely peg the ground sheet. Peg the inner tent ( we only use the bigger inner tent) then hook it up onto the eye's. haven't really got the guying sorted yet (are the ropes attached to the triangular material supposed to wrap over the poles or pull away from them?) but we keep practicing.
It's a damn fine tent for the four of us.

I have one of these as my car does not have a cig lighter. It is 7AH meaning one amp for 7 hours, It is useful for charging my camera battery and phone and running Cyclops . Also I use it to power a small strip light in the tent . No heavy use but fine for small consumpstion items , lasts a weekend ok ..
It takes a few hours , depending how much it is discharged. I keep in the car and when going away for a weekend , take it in an charge , normally takes 1-3.
