Its a matter that is covered by an EU Directive brought into law in the UK in September 2009.
You currently buy a 110Ahr battery or an 85Ahr and you expect it to be just that. Apparently, for years we've been fooled and the manufactures have got away with it, but not any more! Under the new legislation the actual capacity must be stated on the case, that means a battery of a certain size may still be called 110 but underneath it will need to state it's actual capacity. Yep you even have to read the small print on batteries now!
A Numax leisure battery labelled CP110, actual capacity 92Ahr!
So when you go for your 100ah battery check the label and ask seller to confirm that it is actually 100ah.
