Got an email today showing a lightweight porch awning at a good price.

I paid £150ish 2 years ago for something very similar.

I wouldnt be without mine.

Hope this info is of some use to someone.

If you buy 2 and tape them together it would make a good tent !!!

I have been looking for a porch awning - but what's happened to all the small ones? Every one I can find seems "supersized" like the one Terry mentions above. That's very nearly as big as the three-quarter size awning we use as our "big" awning!

I only want a little thing that will go over the door and allow storage of wet boots in winter, while keeping the weather off the door. A couple of years ago that kind of thing seemed to be everywhere, and for not very much money (£75-ish) - now all the manufacturers seem to have made their designs bigger, and doubled the price into the bargain.

So, any pointers for a true small porch awning for less than £100?

This is probably too flimsy for what you have in mind, but it struck me as being good value to stop rain blowing into the porch - depending on the size of the tent, of course. It'd fit my tent, but would not be much good for cooking under, as no shelter from sidewinds.

While I would be perfectly happy with just a cloak and the shelter of the lee-side of a tree trunk, Mrs Viggo is rather more fussy about these things!

I bought an Outdoor Revolution Porchlite from Riversway and found them to be excellent.

PS: Good choice of van, nowt wrong with my Ranger.
