Hi we are thinking about getting a full awning for van we have a porch one, We have looked at some on Ebay and in local caravan shops. Very expensive we thought for the amount of time we would use it, Summer months when we take grand kids for a few weeks. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced one doesn't have be top of the range all singing all dancing, as long as it's waterproof. our van awning size is 900 to 925 thanks for any help.
Thanks for that justy have been through some of them. Was hoping someone might have seen a cheap one somewhere I think they are way overpriced for what they are.

There a couple of others on Ebay at the moment that are in the right range the bigger one would fit if your van needs an awning bigger than 913cm but it is more expensive, and the other smaller one does not look as well looked after.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
I agree with other posts, if you can afford it get an Isabella, we sold ours on eBay for £200 with carbon poles so there are some great bargains out there.
I'd say a good quality 2nd hand one is better than a cheap new one, we had a cheap brand (new) with our previous caravan and I hated it, it leaked, it didn't fit tight & was nowhere near as nice as the Isabella we sold.
Thank you for all your help on this. I have looked at all sorts and in my opinion they are all over priced so will look down another route, Keep porch awning and buy a small tent to pitch next to porch awning for the grand-kids. Have seen some reasonable tents to do the job and a lot cheaper. we never have them all at same time so two/three man would do. Thanks again.
Do you have a caravan dealer near you? They may have a few second hand ones you can look at and are generally in good condition. We have been lucky on a couple of occasions and found some good ones at our local dealer but the last time we went to change they took our old one and we spent another £500 but it gets well used.
I just cant justify to ourself the outlay for an awning, if we bought a tent say £100 tops that would serve the purpose and be available for other family members to take on holidays as well. Will have to really sit and think about it. thanks to all.
We have just bought our very first campervan this week, hooray! But it needs an awning but I cannot find anything that I could be sure that fitted no matter how hard I google.
Our van is a Renault Trafic Autosleeper (Rapport) - have just tried to add a picture of it but the technology is beyond me - it is quite high and the strips down the side that you have to attach the awning to are quite rusty - not sure how you would clip it on?
We are new to caravans this year and have bought a Bailey Pegasus 624 having enjoyed camping last year!
Im picking up that most people have more than one awning (porch type for weekends and a full awning for longer and travelling abroad). This year we are just contemplating long weekends away and welcome any suggestions on a suitable porch type awning to fit the Pegasus.
We have 2 children also so need something a little bigger than just somewhere to throw muddy shoes etc.
It seems like there are so many to choose from but as to whether they are any good remains to be seen!!
Any comments advice gratefully received.
