hi, if you just do a google search for baby sleeping bags it comes up with dozens of outlets,
we got one for our boy when he was around that age as he kept kicking the covers of himself and wakening up. (at home also)
they are a great job although when we were looking for them it became apparent that you should get one that have holes for the arms or have sleeves in them so the baby cannot wriggle down and suffocate.
in other words don't go looking for a rectangle shaped sleeping bag for baby sized people.
i got mine on ebay from memory but there are loads of places out there.
they can be called "grobag" or "slumbersac" also.
if you go for one without sleeves like a waistcoat top half then you may need a little jumper on below but at least you can alter the temp this way like for use in the summer. the long sleeved ones are too warm for that we found.
Happy hunting
The Vango Baby Nitestar seems to be very popular along with the Kampa bed which has raised sides all the way around. It may be worth your while taking a look at Littlelife arc travel cots aswell.
Yes for that age get the usual baby sleeping bags that you can get in mothercare etc - if you want warmer vertbaudet do ones with fleece arems but it is easier just to put extra clothes on baby before putting them in bag. Also a good idea for them to wear a stretchy hat to keep head warm. baby will be fine in that.
We took our little one when she was 5 mths, layers worked for her, something like babygrow short sleeves, long legs /arms one, then fleecy sleepsuit, and laid onto so it's open round her and able to be zipped up should we need to and we did most nights her costoe off the phil and ted as they r so like sleeping bags!
Now she's nearly 2 shell be using the same as 3yr old big bro, a outwell childrens dinosaur / flowers sleeping bag.
Our three use vango nitestar convertables. They started using them at about 12 months and were fine. Good quality and realy warm. They still use them now because you can extend the length. I suspect the oldest has another couple of years of use.
We never bought baby sleeping bags because they don't last long enough to justify the cost. We just used to wrap them up in a moses basket when they were realy little.
As for beds we completely cover the bedroom in foam mats and picnic bankets which means they have plenty of room and usualy end up in a corner all snuggled up.
We have camped quite a bit with our baby (now toddler) & have tried all sorts! We do have a vango nitestar baby sleeping bag and it is super cosy & warm but my daughter wriggled straight out of it. I still take it and sometimes throw it over her in the night (open) when she is fast asleep for extra warmth but I found a fleece sleepsuit & gro bag the best, only if it is very cold- it is a real balance making sure they dont overheat. I tend to put her to bed in fleece sleepsuit with cotton sleepsuit & vest underneath then if it got cold later (in early spring & autumn) I added a grobag too. People on here laughed at me as many litle ones sleep in less than this but both me & my daughter get really cold (though when she was young I checked her all the time to make sure she wasnt hot). I would also recommend Purflo grobags http://www.purflo.com/acatalog/PurFlo_SleepSac.html as they have arms, but in the summer you may not need a fleece suit underneath. We use our purflo bag at home too in the winter as we have a chilly child. I think I would go for grobag &/or fleece suits rather than the nitestar unless you have a baby who is very still at night! The nice thing about fleece sleepsuits is they can stay in them in the morning until they get dressed and stay warm, and eventually can crawl & walk in them
Would also recommend phil n teds travel cot if you are short of packing space as it last a lot longer than tent style small to pack travel cots as they can stand up in them. Old fasioned travel cots are better for being off the ground (& handy playpen when putting the tent up!) but we ran out of space in the car as we bought more kit!

------------- Early June- France TBC
July 2nd- Deer Shed Festival
More to come....
grobags for us too, we have a selection, the proper grobag ones come in different thicknesses, done fine for my 3, even in our old trailer tent in march, all been camping from 3 months..
available with and without arms, depending on the time of year you want to use them
When we were looking most of them started at 6mths, but we used the one we got in Sainsburys on our first trip when she was 4 months. Half the price of the grobags ones. Just put her in vest and sleepsuit, then in the bag. As long as they fit snuggly with the poppers doing up well fitted around the arms they should be OK. Just got to make sure that they are not going to wriggle down in it so they suffocate. We were in a caravan though, so don't think I would be brave enough in a tent this time of year.
