We use a roofbox by Thule and are very pleased with it.We put everything from clothing to food in ours and it keeps everything bone dry.

we use a Thule ocean pacific not sure if they still make this range we fill ours up with everything but being carefull on spreading the weight around .

Would you need a roof box with a caravan - we just used to put everything into the van and boot of the car

We use a roofbox with our folding camper. For long journeys the clothes, in pillow cases, go in it.  Yes there is space in the camper to put them, but it saves either unfolding everything or crawling inside it. Also easy to get the clothes out on the return home. A Mont Blanc from Towsure.
