Hi All

I was just wondering, how long you can use you tent before you need to,re-proof it?,we bought our Khyam Ontario eight last year  as our last one did not survive the winter before, and it was only used the once,do you have to re-proof it every year?

Sorry to sound so naive, its just i have not had to re-proof before,as it was done for me,but we all have to learn sometime lol !!

Also does anyone know where we can purchase a cheap camping fridge, one that runs on either electric or gas?

Look forward to any advice offered.

Regards.

Well we used to reproof ours' before the start of every "season"..

I'm not entirely sure if it was really needed tho'...

...but as we were putting the thing up in the garden anyway,to check it out,it made sense to reproof it while it was up..

Sorry can't really help on the fridge front..it would be worth asking that, under a seperate "what fridge?" type title...

You shouldn't need to reproof a synthetic tent regularly if at all. If water stops beading up on it, it would appreciate a reproof but the material may be toward the end of it's life then anyway.

However, it could extend the life of the material significantly if you were to use a reproofer with a UV block (e.g. Nikwax UV Proof) to slow down the effects of sunlight.

Sometimes seams may spring leaks, so it's handy to have a tube of seam sealant in your spares kit.
