hi im thinking of buying a cadac or poss a cobb but not sure what to do,is the cadac easy to control cos every gas barbie ive owned ends up with raging flames and dinner ends up looking like bbq briquettesl  lol  any tips would be appreciated

I am a big Cadac fan, they are really simple to assemble and have a really good range of cooking surfaces, i have a Cadac Carry Chef which has a griddle/barbie and hotplate. The heat is quite easy to control, and it has an ignition. If you type CADAC into the search on this site you will see loads of feedback and some yummy recipes..Hope this helps.

Cadac, brill, but the Cob will taste more like a bbq, IMHO

Cadacs are not that controllavble.  It is basically a gas ring with a BBQ or a hotplate on top.  You can't see the flame when lit so adjusting thhe burner can cause the flame to go out.  Not that that's a problem on mine as it barely gets hot enough to cook meat on.  Very poor performance in wind & poor build quality.  It's a Safari Chef.  Larger ones do seem a bit better made.
