Try one of these
http://www.lakeland.co.uk/lakeland-turbo-vac/F/keyword/vacuum+cleaner/product/22518
weighs 3Kg and uses about 3.1 amps
We bought one for use in our caravan and it folds up nicely into a small bundle to keep in the foot locker. Can be used as a hand held or with the extension pipes you strap it over the shoulder. Works really really well. If you check the Lakeland website and find something else you fancy to bring the total cost up to £50 then postage is free. Better still take your Van up to Windermere and visit the shop.
When we were looking for a small vac we looked at loads of rechargeable and found that many needed to be on charge for longer than the amount of use you could get out of it. So, in terms of power, it used more charging then it would if you just vac'd the whole van attached whilst plugged into the socket.
