I hate to say it but our Areobed has let me down. After praising it on here so highly we used it for guests last weekend and it went soft overnight.
Had a good look round it but could not find any holes. I emailed Areobed to ask advice. Had a plan 2 aswell which was to send it back to Tesco. Problem they do not make the king size raised like we have any more.

Anyway Areobed said likely to be the valve leaking and would send a part. I was expecting a rubber bit, but they have sent the complete woosh valve assembly. So will give it a test this weekend.

10/10 for customer service.

We bought one from Tesco last year to take on our summer hols. It leaked second night and we found a tiny hole which we couldn't repair. Ended up buying some cheap lilos from the campsite shop! Not happy!!

Returned it to Tesco when we go home. They didn't have any further stock so I got a refund.

Must say that when it was up it was brilliant.......reluctant to buy another one at the moment unless I see a cheap one somewhere.

Really nice to use, but expensive if I have more problems it will go back and it will be a Coleman comfort next time seems to be highly spoke of on here too but a lot cheaper, maybe you could try one of these

Our Aerobed leaked last year (probably due to a tiny nick).  We replaced the valve but the bed still leaked.  We used a heavy duty vinyl repair glue used for inflatable canoes etc.  Sevylor Seam Sealer or similar will do the job well.  Inflate the bed and use a solution of washing up liquid and water to see where the leak is (it will bubble up so you'll have no doubt!).  This sealer can be applied thinly and then allowed to dry.  You might want to apply several layers, just to be sure of a really good fix.  Once everything has dried, inflate the bed and put something heavy on it.  Hopefully it won't deflate.  These Aerobeds are fantastic bits of kit but need to be looked after properly.  Ours is as good as new now!

New valve came after a couple of days and it has solved the leak. We needed something heavy to test it so I put the OH on it

We also got our king aerobed from tesco last year. It was fine the first couple of times but then started leaking. We found a tiny pin sized hole on top right at the end of one of the ridges. We've just fixed that with a repair kit from eBay but now we've found an identical hole on another ridge. We'll fix that and hopefully that will be it but it looks like a manufacturing defect to me because of the position of the holes.

We did love it before it leaked but if it carries on I'll be getting something else next time. Btw I found the leak by fully inflating and running my hands over it. You can feel the cold air blast!

Our double Go Outdoors mattress split down the seam at 1am on Twitchen house campsite last year. Luckily our wine fuelled neighbours had a roll of gaffer tape and that just about did the trick till morning. We took it back when we got home and were told that airbeds are not exchangeable, until I showed them the seam. The seal had split for about 20cm where the pvc meets the flocked side. Waking up with a cold rear ain't good!

We have always had the aerobeds specifically made for ourdoors and never had any problems ( apart from the cat but no one can be held responsible for where he sharpened his claws) and we`ve never had any problems.

The double height ones aren`t made for the outdoors , so do incredibly well that they have so few problems

Restraint indeed!  Must say this website is a mine of information. I've been acquiring camping stuff for years and spent years persuading Mr Tilly that camping is the way forward!  It's wonderful that there's no such thing as a problem here - just challenges or questions that have already been answered.  Armed with my new, improved, leak-free Aerobed and brand new, soon to be used Cobb (thanks to the Australian website link plus cookbook) plus Primus stove (nothing like plenty of lovely cups of piping hot tea), camp kitchen and even (much to the laughter of the friends we went camping for a weekend with last year) solar shower, there's simply nothing like camping.  At £5 per person per night, this is going to bring our retirement forward - by a decade or two!

The answer is a Fat Airic on top of a folding bed. Or a rubberised cotton airbed (they never go down) on top of a folding bed. Having tried everything this is our preferred solution. We cable tie two folding beds together and put air bed on top for a double bed.

I think that is the way forward Superwoman!  Going to seek out some cheap camp beds to get us off the floor and some cheaper self-inflating mattresses.
