We have the A series cabanon and was wondering how the cabanon canopy attaches, anyway I was thinking about trying the coleman canopy in the argos camping section just wondering if anyone else has used an alternative to the original

The canopy on both of our Cabanon tents came with a frame - 3 poles fix by button springs to the tent & stretch out to fix onto a frame of two uprights & an arced pole in between. The canopy itself has three ties which attach to the tent poles, and two holes in the front of the canopy which slot over the spikes on the upright poles.
If you use a universal canopy, you may need to attach some tapes in three places along one edge to tie it onto the tent frame (through the little holes where the stub canopy poles go), then just use two upright universal canopy poles on the front corners & guy it out well. I think it could work okay. Just make sure you take the canopy down if strong winds are forecast.
We're hoping to pitch some of our A Series collection today to photograph before sale so I'll try to take some photos of the Antigua with the sun canopy parts.
If it's of any help, the front canopy of our Estoril has a frame section of two uprights and an angled 'ridge' section which is thread through a channel at the front of the canopy. There's a central ridge frame section that attaches to the middle of the main frane with a clip and a spring button/pole section to the front canopy pole. The front edge of the canopy fabric slots over two spikes at the top of the uprights, and attaches at the back section with tapes to the main tent through the 'stub' holes as Jean mentioned. And guy lines of course from the uprights keep the whole thing in place. Gosh, that was harder to explain than I thought! They do add a nice touch and give protection from sun/rain although we've had to alter the angle of the canopy during heavy rain as it tilts back towards the door a little with risk of water ingress through the stub holes.

You haven`t got a sun canopy to fit the Athena you want to sell have you by any chance?
Right loads of Cabanon pics here , this was the Andorra rather than the Antigua but the theory is the same...
The three small poles attach to the stubs that stick out the front of the tent. The canopy is tied onto the inside poles of the tent through little holes next to the stub canopy poles.

It's probably worth giving them a ring to see if they've still got one...I thought that was a good price...
It is a good price....maybe when the family allowance gets here
HI, i've just bought a cabanon athena, It is without awning and groundsheet. I'd be really grateful if any of you would tell me how big a ground sheet or footprint I need? I'm having trouble finding the specs for some reason.
Did you ever find a solution to your canopy quest? I'm on the hunt myself now.
Thanks.
