We have the A series cabanon and was wondering how the cabanon canopy attaches, anyway I was thinking about trying the coleman canopy in the argos camping section just wondering if anyone else has used an alternative to the original

The canopy on both of our Cabanon tents came with a frame - 3 poles fix by button springs to the tent & stretch out to fix onto a frame of two uprights & an arced pole in between. The canopy itself has three ties which attach to the tent poles, and two holes in the front of the canopy which slot over the spikes on the upright poles.

If you use a universal canopy, you may need to attach some tapes in three places along one edge to tie it onto the tent frame (through the little holes where the stub canopy poles go), then just use two upright universal canopy poles on the front corners & guy it out well. I think it could work okay. Just make sure you take the canopy down if strong winds are forecast.
