Hi,

I noticed this sleeping bag in Sainsbury's today. I'm looking at buying a 3-4 season sleeping bag for the wifey (who gets cold in July indoors with a winter duvet on the bed) Does this one look ok for her?

http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/sport_and_leisure/camping_and_picnic/110351813_camo_zip_bag.html?hnav=429496029

I'm such a newbie with camping...our current ones were £11 from Asda and were ok in May but dear wifey was rather cold.

Thanks

I've no experience of that particular bag but I also get cold at night and would want to know the comfort rating. I know they provide the extreme level but usually bags have a comfort level *you should be fine between these temps* and a lower extreme *you won't technically freeze, you'll be awake enough to know you're cold*.

How true those temps they give you is a very personal thing , but for women I think they say add another 3 to 5 degrees, if it's not a female specific bag. So for a cold wifey, the comfort rating is down to 0 degrees would mean she'd be much happier in it at 5 degrees. Sleeping bag liners are ace, you can get fleece ones.

Baffles and hoods are all good features, it means she can keep body heat in. I find it makes such a difference when I seal myself in. Women specific bags seem to have extra padding at the bottom. socks and a jumper stuffed down the bottom would also do the job :)

I can recommend a pair of cheap leggings under PJ bottoms.
