Coleman Queen air bed is fantastic and as you live in Tyne & Wear try UBC caravan showroom on Sandy Lane near Gosforth Park as they had them at £43.00 and worth every penny.

LOL - Used mine for the first time last weekend. It was fantastic. Very comfortable and it was firm enough to be able to sit on the edge to put my socks and shoes on and then stand up without rolling about on the floor

(about time Outwell gave us some commission, Shirl  )

Do check the size against your bedroom pod though as they are slightly bigger in length and width than normal airbeds. I had a heartstopping moment after pumping it up thinking it would be too long. Fortunately it just fitted without touching the sides! (the airbed that is  )

I use a go anywhere bed for my son

it opens up like the fold up chairs and then you slide in an air matress and inflate it .

takes about 5 mins to set up

The Intex queen size deluxe is fantastic, built in pump that inflates and deflates in minutes, plus packs into it's own duffel bag when not in use, high off the ground just brilliant.

Depending on how much space you have and how much you want to spend this really is amazing!

Anywhere bed

Before we had our caravan we always used this in our tent and it really is comfortable. You are completely off the ground and it's dead easy to put up.

I did that too (well I do have EHU but don't always use it) but then I got an inverter which converts the power supply from the car into a three pin socket - problem solved plus I've somewhere to charge the kids DS's, the camera and the mobile phone!
